Historic Charlotte promotes people saving historic places. We do this by supporting and coordinating activities of history and heritage groups throughout the region and by encouraging individuals to learn about and protect the stories of their pasts.

Our historic identity is in grand public buildings and in humble private homes. It’s in Main Street shops and weatherworn cemeteries. It’s where we take our kids to school, shop for groceries, and meet our friends. Charlotte’s unique character starts with its history.
